Chairman & MD
Gary Wells is a well-qualified design engineer with experience in sales and marketing, project co-ordination and General Management. He has an HNC in mechanical engineering, qualifications in the use of AutoCAD, and is a member of the Institute of Engineering Designers and the Engineering Council. GK Design have been affiliate members of the Confederation of Construction Specialists for over 10 years.
Chris has an ONC in Building Studies and City and Guilds Certificates in CAD draughting and design. He has been with GK Design since 1994. Chris is proficient in the use of AutoCAD, is highly knowledgeable in glazing technology, and has completed a number of 3D design concepts for new products.
Senior Project Designer
Graham & Gary have worked together since 1989. He has City and Guilds Certificates as a Mechanical Engineering Technician. Graham has extensive experience of team leadership with particular regard to Curtain wall and fenestration environments. He was hugely instrumental in the success of the Gatwick North terminal, Broadgate, Ismali Centre, and Abbey House.
Thom graduated in 2004 from The Surrey Institute of Art & Design. One of Thom’s many strong points is attention to detail, having completed very complex Quality Assurance processes. He brings this keen eye for detail to his skill set with Glass Konstruct (since 2015). He is proficient in the use of AutoCAD having obtained a Level 3 City & Guilds Certificate in 2D AutoCAD Design. He has completed a number of projects at Glass Konstruct, collecting significant skills in the understanding of fabrication and installation of curtain walling.
Konrad joined the Glass Konstruct team in November 2018. He graduated from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in 2014 and attained has Bachelors degree in Engineering with a focus on renewable energy management. He has certification for 2D AutoCAD. He has assisted in a number of construction projects in Warsaw gaining working experience in AutoCAD and construction industry.
Richard has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portsmouth. His field of expertise is in complex fluid dynamics, heat transfer and materials. He has experience with several advanced software packages for design and simulation. Richard has also written research dissertations in these areas, taking particular interest to manufacture, implementation and mechanical properties; working with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars among others. He now brings his keen eye for detail and understanding of the importance of design to our team.
Additionally GK Design has 5 experienced designers that work remotely, on an ‘as and when needed’ basis. GK Design have a very structured in-house Drawing Office procedure, and this system ensures that ALL work carried out remotely is issued to the HQ and is thoroughly checked before it is issued for client approval.
